Preparations have finally been completed for the fourth meeting of the USS O’Callahan Reunion Association. Our destination this time is the Plaza Hotel/Casino located at One Main Street, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101 from April 2nd through the 5th, 2006.

Now is the time to make your air fare, room and banquet dinner reservations to avoid high fares and secure your position at our semi-annual get-together. I used Expedia.com and got a round trip ticket for $133.00 via the computer. One note regarding the airport. The Plaza Hotel does NOT have a courtesy bus service running but other buses, taxis or rent-a-cars are available at the airport.

The room rates for a double or king sized bed are $ 49.00 plus 11% tax per night and include a daily continental breakfast consisting of assorted breakfast pastries, chilled juices, freshly brewed coffee or decaffeinated coffee or tea. For $10.00 more per night you can have your own refrigerator in you room. You should also specify smoking or non-smoking for your room preference.

Contact Theresa Chael, Sales Manager at 1-800-634-6575 (press “1” for reservations; press “2” for Theresa’s desk). Make sure you ask for the “USS O’Callahan DE/FF-1051” account to receive the low rate.

The cost for the banquet/meeting/speaker is $28.95 plus 11% tax and 18% gratuity per person.

The cost is therefore $37.34 per person.

Please make your check payable to “Tom Morrison” and mail it to him NOT LATER than February 26, 2006 care of 2658 Butler Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90064.

The menu for the BBQ Buffet consists of: garden green salad with assorted dressings, three bean salads, corned bread and whipped butter, corn cobettes, rancho style beans, lemon herb chicken quarters, barbeque beef ribs and a chef’s sweet table and assortment of baked desserts.

We’ve scheduled our reunion activities around what we think is ample time for open gambling, sightseeing and for attending casino revues and shows. We’ve included a Plan of the Week and Plans of the Day at the end of this email to assist you in your scheduling efforts.

Should you have ANY questions, please contact Tom Morrison at 310-575-0061 or email him at 86buggy@comcast.net
